I would like to take this moment to announce my semi retirement from live tournaments. I didn't want to speak from emotions and announce this immediately following my bust out from LAPT, but my opinion has changed very little since then. You are supposed to have fun when you play poker tournaments. I must be missing something. The only exception to my retirement may just be the WSOP ME.
In other poker life news I have re-reached my previously high water mark in terms of bankroll again. It seems like every time I get to this point I stop caring about the money and recklessly gamble my way back down to the danger zone. My plan to stay hungry is to cut back hours and increase game selection. I will look towards music, art and the gym to fill the void.
Socially I am really starting to enjoy my current stride. I am learning how to diligently balance my time between gf, friends, and family. But I guess all good things must come to an end. The current game plan is to experiment with the feasibility of a long distance relationship. Come less than two months from now I may find myself taking monthly trips to Chicago.

Congratulations on your semi-retirement. Wishing you the best.

Is it really retiring if you are in the red career?
