A Modest Proposal

I am a bit strapped for greenbacks on this upcoming WSOP adventure. Anyone interested in swapping me 15k cash for 15k on Full Tilt with the added bonus of 5% of my WSOP Main Event action? July 2-4 is my window.

No Title

I play a lot of games. I own 8 video game consoles and regularly play them all. I play a game for a living. I play a ton of board games. When I'm on my computer and not playing poker I'm usually playing Catan or Starcraft. When I poop I play games on my iPhone. And every night before I go to bed I do a crossoword puzzle. I was going to go somewhere with this post and talk about overall related themes between mastering all the games or draw some analogy to the game of life, but that's just dumb.

New Hobby

Recently, partly inspired by the White House garden and by my gf's family garden, I've started to cultivate some greens of my own. Personally it makes the most sense to grow plants you can eat. So far I have tomato plants, oregano, basil (yes, I am Italian), a few carrots, and a pomegranate tree.

Flatline

The most frequent question I've been asked lately is how has the recession been affecting the poker world. In general I really haven't seen all that much decline in action in the mid/high stakes regular cash games. Nonetheless, I've been doing some research looking at table ratings graphs and I have a an eerily common pattern amongst many cash game regulars (seems to kick in at mid Feb for everyone)...

Appears some of the most consistent winning regulars are running dry the past 4 months. I know if you look hard enough you can find a few graphs out there to "prove" anything, but this one has caught my interest.
