Flatline

The most frequent question I've been asked lately is how has the recession been affecting the poker world. In general I really haven't seen all that much decline in action in the mid/high stakes regular cash games. Nonetheless, I've been doing some research looking at table ratings graphs and I have a an eerily common pattern amongst many cash game regulars (seems to kick in at mid Feb for everyone)...

Appears some of the most consistent winning regulars are running dry the past 4 months. I know if you look hard enough you can find a few graphs out there to "prove" anything, but this one has caught my interest.

the fish have gotten more involved in the stock market runnup.

See what the correlation between poker results and the stock market. I'd guess negative with a one-day lag.
