Last Day

Well, I am going to to doctor this morning to get some blood work done. I have a gut feeling that my lab results could make for an excellent super fun game time. Yesterday was a bit of a disaster. I made it to the second round of the FTOPs PLO event, but my second table didn't pop up and I blinded off and then gambled away a lot of money in the cash games. Full Tilt was nice enough to send back my tournament buy in. Unfortunately that only recovered about 1% of my loses for the day.

Had a pair of drinks at a dance bar with Margaret Cho after going to a house party where I was the only white dude. Fun night.

Thought

Something that has really been annoying me lately in poker is when you ask for advice on a decision you made and people reply with, "I think that is profitable, but probably not optimal." The whole concept that a decision is profitable in a vacuum is pointless. To think of it at an extreme, if one was to open shove all in on the button for 200bb with AA it would surely be a profitably play, but everyone in the poker world knows that is a terrible play in almost any circumstance. If a play isn't optimal there should never be a positive adjective attached to it. If there is a way to play the hand that isn't how one would make the most money, who the hell wants to hear about it?

I played my worst golf of the season today, but thanks to a clutch 18th hole when the big skins mattered I pulled a profit of 200 in prop bets. I have been getting so lucky in everything I touch these days people should be paying me to poop in their toilet.

I played golf today at Alfred Tup Holmes. Despite never having officially shot below 100 on a full round of 18, I shot a career low 89 today. Highlights include teeing off my driver on a par 4 267 yard hole and sticking it 6 feet from the pin (just missed the eagle putt). Was still good enough for a 30 dollar prop and 100 in props for the round.
