I guess part of getting old is really discovering who you are as a person. Tonight I went to a friend of a friend's party and I have come to the conclusion that I about as socially awkward as humanly possible. I am going to go ahead and set the over/under line for friends I make in the next 50 years that don't play poker at 1. When I am around crowds of new people I get extremely anxious and self conscious. These anxiety attacks make the few dabbles in conversation I have about as uncomfortable as possible and I tend to just leave these situations as quickly as possible. I don't mind continuing existence as a loner all that much. I've decided to spend nearly every waking hour this year playing online poker. If I am doomed for loneliness I might as well make a shit load of money.

Fight or Flight
