Great literature feeds the soul. In Edgar Allen Poe's "The Cask of Amontillado" Fortunato finds himself tempt

ed by promises of rare and delicious wine only to be buried alive in the deepest of catacombs by his vengeful guide. This allegory is quite timeless. Often I find myself beginning to fall off the beaten path by means of Sirens promising pots of gold at the end of the distant rainbows . It takes much foresight and strength to preemptively abandon seemingly illustrious promises. The wisdom and skill to allow oneself to create and age your own Amontillado is a blessing worthy of the highest regard.
