How It Goes

If you asked me how poker was going two months ago I would have painted you a pretty picture. I was off to my best start ever on the year and I felt on top of my game. I was on pace to crush like never before. As I neared my career high water mark things began to crumble.

If you asked me how poker was going two weeks ago I would have painted you one ugly picture. After taking a failed shot on a fish at 25/50nl hu deep stacked and another gamble against an excellent regular at 100/200nl short stacked I had managed to blow through over half my roll. In such a deep hole for the year, I would have set an over/under of late August to get even on the year, but who would of guessed that lightening can strike twice...The last two weeks of poker are like nothing I've ever seen before. I have crushed so hard and gotten so lucky that no two weeks in the past 5 years can even compare. I am now even on the year and it is time to shave off my short lived playoff beard. If you ask me, I guess that's just how it goes.
